Gli Huskies brillano alla BRAMUN 2025 e si assicurano i ruoli di leadership per il 2026
  • High School
  • Pan American School

From March 18 to 22, the city of Salvador hosted BRAMUN 2025, the largest Model UN event in South America. The event brought together students from all over Brazil to debate global issues from their perspectives. Six students from Pan American School (PAS) were part of the Leadership Team, and three Huskies received individual awards for their outstanding performances during the debates.

Among the approximately 35 students responsible for managing the event, six were representatives from PASMUN. Taking on key roles, they performed leadership activities for the success of the event:

  • Joana B. (G10) – President of the Human Rights Council
  • Enzo A. (G11) – President of the Triple Alliance Peace Conference
  • Isabela W. (G11) – President of the American Progress Committee
  • João Henrique F. (G12) – President of the United Interplanetary Council
  • João O. (G12) – President of the Security Council Reform
  • Sérgio G. (G12) – Multimedia Director

Recognitions and Achievements

The Huskies' performance was also celebrated with individual awards. Three students received distinctions for their participation in debates and diplomatic negotiations:

  • Francisco F. (G10) – Verbal Commendation at the Triple Alliance Peace Conference
  • Guilherme S. (G9) – Outstanding Delegation in the Security Council Reform
  • João Henrique F. (G12) – Best Special Committee President

For the supervising teacher of POAMUN, Ms. Leslie Smallwood, the participation of Pan American School students at BRAMUN is excellent due to the confidence they gain throughout the event. "On Day 1, they may be a bit shy or hesitant to speak. On Day 2, they are usually willing to share, but only if they have written something in advance. By Day 3, students typically gain a lot of confidence and are trying to participate constantly," the teacher comments.

Continuing the Legacy of Excellence

With the 2025 edition concluded, attention now turns to BRAMUN 2026, where PAS will continue to shine with its students' academic excellence. Five Huskies have been selected for the next Leadership Team: Amanda R. (G9), Francisco F. (G10), and Joana B. (G10), who will serve as committee presidents.

Two students secured positions on the exclusive team of only six members responsible for planning the conference:

  • Enzo A. (G11) – Undersecretary of the Portuguese Committees
  • Isabela W. (G11) – Secretary-General of BRAMUN 2026

Isabela W.'s appointment to lead the entire conference is an important milestone. Her innovative role in POAMUN, including the introduction of Portuguese-speaking delegates and securing a major sponsor, demonstrated her leadership ability and strategic vision, making her the ideal choice to take responsibility for the event next year.

Enzo views the participation very positively. "What matters most to me is that most of our members returned from the conference having learned something valuable. For some, this was the conference that made them realize how much they truly value MUN, and for me, that's the most important part of a conference," he explains.

Celebration with Families

Upon returning to school, students and their families had a special moment of celebration for their path of excellence at BRAMUN 2025. For Isabela, her appointment to her new role recognizes her journey and motivates her to take the next steps. "I believe that to get here I’ve learned a lot, but I’ll learn even more by being part of the secretariat. It will help me further develop my leadership skills and collaborate with the other amazing secretariat members," she highlights.
